In the bason of the bowl, a bird hitches a ride on a reindeer. The image is reminiscent of cave drawings, and captures the primitive style that Pentik's handcrafted dinnerware is known for. In Finland, reindeer aren't just meaningful during the holiday season. With the number of reindeer in Finland roughly equal to the number of people living there, it's become somewhat of a Lapland icon.
