Manually opening and closing, the canopy of this Marimekko umbrella is decorated in alternating shades of blue and stretches more than three feet in diameter. Designer Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi first created this Piccolo pattern in 1953, and it has represented Marimekko's legacy of iconic stripes ever since.
