
The Story
The three-legged Artek 60 Stool was designed in the 1930's by visionary Alvar Aalto. His patented method of creating the signature bent L-shaped leg results in a sturdy piece of forever furniture in a timeless, streamlined design. It also allows multiple to be stacked in an attractive and space-saving spiraling tower. Both the seat and three legs are crafted in Finland from Finnish solid birch with a black linoleum seat surface. The stool 60 is equally suited to homes as it is offices, public spaces, and educational facilities. Use it as seating, a side table, or a display stand for plants.
